PADCORM® 1250 dibasic acid mixture

Paron PADCORM^® 1250 is a dibasic acid mixture, primarily C10, C11, and C12, which provides excellent ferrous corrosion inhibition properties. It is used in a variety of corrosion inhibitor applications, including metalworking fluids, engine coolants, metal cleaners, aqueous hydraulic fluids, and die cast release agents. When formulated as an amine salt, PADCORM^® 1250 dibasic acid provides superior corrosion protection to alternatives such as sebacic acid, azelaic acid, and long-chain monobasic acids. PADCORM^® 1250 dibasic acid formulations don’t leave undesirable, hard-to-clean residues associated with amine borate formulations

Storage and Handling

In the free acid form, PADCORM^® 1250 dibasic acid and its aqueous solutions are corrosive to mild steel, but not stainless steel.

PADCORM^® 1250 dibasic may form dust while being handled and cause eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid breathing dust. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Shelf Life

An approximate shelf life of PADCORM^® 1250 is 2 years, if the product is stored in the original container, unopened and dry, in a well ventilated location. Note that product color might increase with time while in storage, therefore the shelf life does not include color stability. Because storage and local ambient conditions vary and Paron has no control over the practices, procedures and conditions at your or other locations, the shelf life estimate provided here should be used as guidance only. It is not provided as a guarantee of any shelf life.
